自動運転車開発で企業連合＝トヨタ、米ＧＭなど８社

　【ニューヨーク時事】トヨタ自動車や米ゼネラル・モーターズ（ＧＭ）、ソフトバンクグループ傘下の英半導体設計大手アームなど日米欧の８社は８日、自動運転車のコンピューターシステムの開発などに取り組む企業連合を設立したと発表した。各社の専門知識や技術を持ち寄り、自動運転車の実用化を加速させる狙い。
　設立したのは「自動運転車コンピューティング・コンソーシアム（ＡＶＣＣ）」。自動車部品大手のデンソーや独ボッシュ、独コンチネンタル、半導体大手の米エヌビディア、オランダのＮＸＰセミコンダクターズも名を連ねた。
　ＡＶＣＣは、自動運転車のシステムの基本設計を定め、各社がハードやソフトを開発しやすい環境を整える。手始めに車両サイズや消費電力、安全基準などの統一化を目指す。（2019/10/09-09:09）

Eight Japanese, U.S. and European companies said Tuesday that they have established a business alliance to work on computer system development related to self-driving vehicles.
The Autonomous Vehicle Computing Consortium, which includes Japan's Toyota Motor Corp. , U.S. auto giant General Motors Co. and British semiconductor designer ARM Holdings PLC, affiliated with Softbank Group Corp. , hopes to accelerate the commercialization of self-driving vehicles by putting together their expertise and technologies.
