オスプレイの暫定配備開始　木更津駐屯地に１機―陸自

暫定配備のため、陸上自衛隊木更津駐屯地に到着した輸送機オスプレイ＝１０日午後、千葉県木更津市

　陸上自衛隊の輸送機オスプレイの暫定配備が１０日、陸自木更津駐屯地（千葉県木更津市）で始まった。自衛隊がオスプレイを導入するのは初めて。暫定配備の期間は５年以内で、今後１７機体制にする。
　当初６日の予定だった暫定配備は天候不良のため２度延期されていた。１０日配備されたのは１機で、米軍岩国基地（山口県岩国市）から飛来し、午後陸自に引き渡された。１、２カ月程度かけて機体の点検を行った後、確認飛行を実施する。
　防衛省はオスプレイを佐賀空港（佐賀市）に配備する計画だったが、地元漁協との調整がまとまらず、昨年１２月に木更津駐屯地への暫定配備を決定。今年４月には同駐屯地で運用部隊「輸送航空隊」の発足式を行っていた。（2020/07/10-19:09）

GSDF Begins Osprey Deployment

Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force started the provisional deployment of Osprey tilt-rotor transport aircraft at Camp Kisarazu in Chiba Prefecture, eastern Japan, on Friday.
   The GSDF plans to deploy 17 Ospreys at the camp for up to five years.
   Initially, the deployment of the first Osprey was scheduled for Monday, but was delayed twice due to bad weather.
   On Friday afternoon, the first Osprey for the Self-Defense Forces was handed over to the GSDF after flying from the U.S. Marine Corps' Iwakuni base in Yamaguchi Prefecture, western Japan.
   The aircraft will make a test flight after undergoing maintenance for a couple of months.
