新しい旅行様式の定着を　休暇分散、少人数滞在型―観光白書

　政府は１６日の閣議で、２０２０年版観光白書を決定した。新型コロナウイルス感染症を受けて、訪日客だけでなく日本人の国内旅行も急減し、多くの産業に影響が広がっていると指摘。旅行先での密集を避けるため、今後は長期休暇の分散や、少人数で宿泊する滞在型観光といった新しい旅行様式の定着が重要とした。
　１～４月の訪日客は入国制限の影響で３９４万人と前年同期比６４．１％減に。１～３月の訪日客の旅行消費額は同４１．６％減の６７２７億円にとどまった。日本人の国内旅行消費額も３月は同５３．１％減の７８６４億円で、調査開始以降最大の下落幅となった。
　国土交通省の調査によると、宿泊業者の約９割は４～６月の宿泊予約や売り上げが７割以上減ると回答。旅行会社では４～６月の予約人員が９割前後落ち込んだ。貸し切りバスの運送収入が７割以上減る事業者が４、５月は９割以上に上った。
　白書は、政府の観光需要喚起策「Ｇｏ　Ｔｏ　キャンペーン」を早期に実施する必要があると強調。長期休暇の分散化や、家族ら少人数で宿泊する滞在型観光を進め、安心できる旅行環境の整備が重要とも指摘した。（2020/06/16-13:19）

The Japanese government Tuesday proposed a shift to new styles of travel to cut the risk of infection with the novel coronavirus, which is dealing a blow to the tourism industry.
   It is important to stagger long holidays and promote trips in small groups to reduce close interpersonal contact, which tends to cause coronavirus infections, the government said in its fiscal 2020 white paper on tourism.
   The number of visitors to Japan in January-April dived 64.1 pct from a year before to 3.94 million due to entry restrictions. In January-March, spending by foreign tourists fell 41.6 pct to 672.7 billion yen, according to the report.
   In March, domestic tourism-related spending by Japanese people plunged 53.1 pct to 786.4 billion yen, the steepest decline on record, it said.
   According to a tourism ministry survey, some 90 pct of accommodation businesses brace for a fall of at least 70 pct in reservations and sales for April-June.
