れいわ・山本代表、都知事選出馬を表明　五輪中止、１０万円給付を公約

　れいわ新選組の山本太郎代表（４５）は１５日、国会内で記者会見し、東京都知事選（１８日告示、７月５日投開票）に出馬する意向を表明した。公約として、来年に延期された東京五輪・パラリンピックの中止や、全都民への１０万円給付などを掲げる考えを示した。
　山本氏は出馬の理由について、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響による生活困窮者の存在に触れ、「次期衆院選でれいわの議席を増やしても、今目の前にいる人を救えない」と説明。「都民の生活を底上げする」と強調した。（2020/06/15-17:42）

Reiwa Shinsengumi Head to Run for Tokyo Governor

Taro Yamamoto, head of Japanese political party Reiwa Shinsengumi, on Monday said he plans to run in the July 5 Tokyo gubernatorial election.
   At a press conference, Yamamoto, 45, said his campaign pledges will include cancellation of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, postponed to 2021 amid the coronavirus crisis, and 100,000-yen handouts to all Tokyo citizens.
   Yamamoto said he wants to aid people struggling to make ends meet amid the pandemic.
   "Even if Reiwa Shinsengumi wins more seats in parliament with the next House of Representatives election, we can't save those suffering now," he said.
