コンビニ４月売上高、最大の落ち込み　１０．６％減、オフィス街苦戦

　日本フランチャイズチェーン協会が２０日発表した４月のコンビニエンスストア売上高は、既存店ベースで前年同月比１０．６％減の７７８１億円となった。減少幅は２００９年７月（７．５％減）を上回り、過去最大を記録した。新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大でオフィス街の店舗が臨時休業や時短営業に追い込まれるなど、大都市圏を中心に客足が大幅に落ち込んだことが響いた。（2020/05/20-18:46）

Sales at convenience stores in Japan in April plunged 10.6 pct from a year before to 778.1 billion yen on a same-store basis, marking the steepest monthly fall on record, an industry group said Wednesday.
The dive reflected a sharp decrease in customers mainly in metropolitan areas, with convenience stores in business districts forced to shut or cut business hours due to the spread of the new coronavirus, according to the Japan Franchise Association.
