広がる「分散型ホテル」＝古民家を再生、地域活性化

　町全体をホテルに見立て、古民家などを再利用した宿泊・飲食施設を徒歩圏内に点在させる「分散型ホテル」が各地で広がっている。宿泊客がホテル内を移動するように町中を歩き回り、地元の文化や食を体験できるのが特徴。新しい観光の形として地域活性化にも貢献しそうだ。
　分散型ホテルは欧州が起源と言われる。国内では２００９年に開業した兵庫県丹波篠山市の「古民家の宿　集落丸山」が先駆けとされる。
　７月に開業した岐阜県美濃市の「ＮＩＰＰＯＮＩＡ（ニッポニア）美濃商家町」では、市に寄付された築１００年を超える美濃紙商の古民家を宿泊客用の施設に改装した。運営には地元の製紙企業組合も関わり、美濃和紙の魅力を伝えている。

　江戸時代に和紙で栄えた美濃には古い商家が多く残る。ホテルのフロントは宿泊用とは別の古民家を利用し、２棟目の宿泊施設として近くの空き家も改装中だ。
　客室（全６部屋）は最大で７人が利用でき、料金は１人２万円から。団体の研修で利用した埼玉県の水石潤さん（３６）は「地元の食や和紙作りを体験し、町並みも見て、美濃を満喫できた」と話す。
　分散型ホテルは他に大津市や京都市、福井県小浜市などにあり、北海道や熊本県でも開業準備が進んでいる。
　ホテル予約サイトを運営する一休の石川愛里メディア事業部長は分散型ホテルを「空き家解消と地域活性化に役立つ点で、地元との連携が進みやすい」と特徴を分析する。外国人旅行者の呼び込みにも効果が期待されている。（2019/09/28-13:46）

A unique hotel business to offer services at accommodations and eateries scattered about within a walking distance is spreading in Japan.
   Often reutilizing traditional Japanese houses as hotel facilities, the business aims to allow guests to walk around a city as if in a hotel and experience local culture and cuisine.
   The business of operating such scattered-type hotels is believed to have originated in Europe.
   In Japan, Maruyama Village, a facility that opened in 2009 in the city of Sasayama in the western prefecture of Hyogo, is said to be the pioneer. Users of the facility can enjoy activities such as agriculture experience, pottery making and tea ceremony while staying at renovated traditional Japanese houses.
   In the city of Mino in the central prefecture of Gifu, which flourished with the production and trading of high-quality "washi" Japanese papers during the Edo period (1603-1868), a traditional Japanese house aged more than 100 years of a washi merchant was renovated into a hotel.
