みずほ、石炭火力の新規融資廃止　５０年に残高ゼロ目指す

　みずほフィナンシャルグループ（ＦＧ）は１５日、二酸化炭素（ＣＯ２）排出量の多い石炭火力発電所の建設案件に関する新規の投融資を６月１日から廃止すると発表した。２０１９年度に約３０００億円に上った、関連融資などの与信残高を３０年度までに半減、５０年度までにゼロにすることを目指す。
　地球温暖化対策の加速を求める世界的な機運の高まりを受けた措置。ただ既存の石炭火力発電所を、ＣＯ２排出量を減らせる「超々臨界圧」などの高効率設備に更新する場合は、融資を検討することもあるという。（2020/04/15-19:23）

Japan's Mizuho Financial Group Inc. will abolish new investments in and loans to construction projects for coal-fired power plants with high emissions of carbon dioxide, effective on June 1.
Mizuho will aim to cut the lending balance for relevant projects, which totaled some 300 billion yen in fiscal 2019, by half by fiscal 2030 and to zero by fiscal 2050, the megabank group said Wednesday.
