ＩＭＦ、世界経済「マイナス成長に」　新型コロナ打撃、１１年ぶり

　【ワシントン時事】国際通貨基金（ＩＭＦ）のゲオルギエワ専務理事は２３日、２０２０年の世界経済が「マイナス成長に陥る」との見通しを示した。新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大に伴う深刻な景気悪化で、リーマン・ショック後の０９年（マイナス０．１％）以来、１１年ぶりのマイナス成長が避けられないと危機感を表明した。
　ＩＭＦは４月に最新の世界経済見通しを公表する予定。２月に成長率見通しを１月時点より０．１ポイント程度低い約３．２％に引き下げた。世界最大の経済国である米国や日本など主要国の景気悪化は確実な情勢で、大幅なマイナス成長に落ち込む恐れがある。
　一方、世界の有力金融機関で構成される国際金融協会（ＩＩＦ）は同日、２０年の世界経済成長率がマイナス１．５％に落ち込むとの見通しを発表。日本はマイナス２．６％、米国がマイナス２．８％、ユーロ圏がマイナス４．７％と、主要国・地域の総崩れを予想した。
　ゲオルギエワ氏は、２０年は「リセッション（景気後退）」になるとした上で、「（リーマン）危機時か、それより深刻になる」と警告した。（2020/03/24-10:37）

The global economy is expected to post its first negative growth in 11 years in 2020 due to the fallout from the coronavirus pandemic, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said Monday.
   The outlook for global growth for 2020 is "negative," the first contraction since the negative growth of 0.1 pct in 2009 blamed on the global financial crisis triggered by the 2008 collapse of U.S. investment bank Lehman Brothers, she said in a statement.
   The IMF is slated to release its updated global economic outlook in April, after the Washington-based institution lowered its world growth estimate for 2020 by 0.1 percentage point from its January projection to some 3.2 pct.
   As major countries, such as the United States and Japan, look certain to suffer slowdowns due to the coronavirus outbreak, the global economy may post sharp negative growth, analysts said.
   The IMF chief released the statement after finance ministers and central bank chiefs of the Group of 20 advanced and emerging economies held an emergency videoconference on Monday to discuss the pandemic's effects on the global economy.
