富士フ、米で１８００億円投資　バイオ薬、全生産能力５倍に

　富士フイルムは１２日、バイオ医薬品の開発・製造受託事業の強化に向け、米ノースカロライナ州に建設中の新拠点に約１８００億円を投資すると発表した。がん治療薬などとして期待される抗体医薬品の原薬製造設備となる動物細胞培養タンクを新たに導入する。２０２８年の稼働を目指す。
　同拠点では現在８基のタンクの導入を進めている。今回さらに８基を新設し、他の拠点も含めた全社の生産能力を現行比で約５倍に高める。製薬大手は自社の負担軽減のため外部へ委託するケースが増えており、富士フイルムは幅広いバイオ医薬品の生産工程開発や受託生産体制を強化している。（2024/04/12-11:33）

Fujifilm Corp. said Friday it will invest 1.2 billion dollars in a biopharmaceutical facility being constructed in North Carolina to strengthen its contract development and manufacturing capabilities.
The investment is designed to double the number of mammalian cell culture bioreactors at the facility to 16 from the initial plan by 2028. The addition is expected to help boost the Japanese company's biopharmaceutical production capacity by five times from the current level.
