東北～九州に自動運転レーン　ドローン飛行ルートも、政府が計画案

　政府は２８日、自動運転やドローンの活用を推進するための会議を開き、２０３３年度までに東北地方から九州地方を結ぶ高速道路に自動運転車が走行できるレーンを設置する整備計画案を示し、了承された。岸田政権の「デジタル田園都市国家構想」の一環で、人手不足や物流危機などの解消につなげる。
　計画案には、自動運転レーンやドローンの飛行ルート、水道やガスなどインフラ情報のデジタル化について、２４年度から１０年間の整備方針を盛り込んだ。６月の閣議決定を目指す。経済産業省は、これらにより１０年間で２兆円の経済効果を見込む。
　自動運転レーンは２４年度に新東名の駿河湾沼津―浜松などに設置。２６年度までに東北道などに広げ、最終的に東北から九州までつなぐ。特定条件下で運転手が不要となる「レベル４」の自動運転トラックなどの走行を想定する。
　ドローンの飛行ルートは、３３年度までに全国の１級河川や送電網の上空計５万キロを設定。荷物の配送や施設点検での利用を視野に入れる。インフラ情報のデジタル化は、３３年度までに全国の政令市や中核市の５０都市での実施を目指す。（2024/03/28-18:58）

Japan Eyes Self-Driving Expressway Lane Network

The Japanese government said Thursday that it plans to create a self-driving lane on an expressway network linking the Tohoku northeastern and Kyushu southwestern regions by fiscal 2033.
   The plan is part of efforts to address labor shortages and logistics bottlenecks.
   An autonomous driving lane will be set up in some expressway sections, including on the Shin-Tomei Expressway, in fiscal 2024, which starts on Monday.
   The government plans to extend the lane to Tohoku and some other expressways by fiscal 2026 and eventually have it link Kyushu with Tohoku.
   Trucks with Level 4 autonomous driving technology, which does not require drivers under certain conditions, are expected to be mainly allowed to run on the lane.
