普通預金金利、０．０２％に　１７年ぶり引き上げ―三菱ＵＦＪ・三井住友

　三菱ＵＦＪ銀行は１９日、日銀によるマイナス金利解除決定を受け、円普通預金の金利を２１日に現行の０．００１％から０．０２％に引き上げると発表した。三井住友銀行も４月１日に０．００１％から０．０２％とする。引き上げはいずれも２００７年２月以来、１７年ぶり。三菱ＵＦＪ銀は、定期預金金利についても１０年で現行の０．２％から０．３％に引き上げる。
　日銀による大規模金融緩和で超低水準に沈んできた普通預金金利が、マイナス金利解除を機に上昇する。利息が増えるため、預金者にとってはメリットだ。みずほ銀行、三井住友信託銀行、りそな銀行も引き上げを検討している。（2024/03/19-19:39）

2 Major Japanese Banks to Raise Deposit Rates for 1st Time in 17 Yrs

Two major Japanese banks said Tuesday that they will raise their deposit rates for the first time in 17 years, following the Bank of Japan's decision to end its negative interest rate policy.
Both MUFG Bank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. will raise their interest rates on ordinary deposits from the current 0.001 pct to 0.02 pct on Thursday and April 1, respectively.
