１月消費支出、６．３％減　車購入減、３年ぶり下げ幅―総務省

　総務省が８日発表した１月の家計調査によると、１世帯（２人以上）当たりの消費支出は２８万９４６７円と、物価変動の影響を除いた実質で前年同月比６．３％減少した。マイナスは１１カ月連続。自動車購入費や光熱費の減少が響き、下げ幅は２０２１年２月（６．５％）以来、約３年ぶりの大きさとなった。（2024/03/08-11:37）

Household spending in Japan in January declined 6.3 pct from a year earlier in price-adjusted real terms, down for the 11th straight month, internal affairs ministry data showed Friday.
   The drop was largest since the 6.5 pct decrease in February 2021. Consumption spending by households comprising two or more members averaged 289,467 yen in the latest reporting month.
   By category, automobile-related expenditures, including on vehicle purchases, dropped 15.7 pct because of suspension of automobile production and shipments partly due to Daihatsu Motor Co.'s safety test fraud.
   Gas and electricity bills fell 12.6 pct and 8.9 pct, respectively, owing to the warmer winter.
   Expenditures on food declined 2.7 pct amid higher prices. Spending was down 6.0 pct for vegetables and seaweeds, whose harvests were poor due to the very hot summer last year.
