住友化学、２４５０億円の赤字　過去最大、医薬・石化事業低迷―２４年３月期

　住友化学は２日、２０２４年３月期連結業績予想を下方修正し、純損益が２４５０億円の赤字（前期は６９億円の黒字）になる見通しだと発表した。上場子会社の住友ファーマの業績悪化に加え、サウジアラビアでの石油化学事業の低迷が響く。赤字幅としては過去最大となる。
　純損益は従来予想の９５０億円の赤字を大幅に下回る。本業のもうけを示す営業損益も２８５０億円の赤字（従来予想は１２５０億円の赤字）に悪化する。（2024/02/02-18:52）

Sumitomo Chemical Projects Record Net Loss for FY 2023

Sumitomo Chemical Co. said Friday that it now expects to suffer a record group net loss of 245 billion yen in fiscal 2023, against a net profit of 6.9 billion yen in the previous year.
The latest loss projection is much larger than the previously estimated 95 billion yen. The company also widened its operating loss forecast to 285 billion yen from 125 billion yen.
