ＳＭＢＣ日興、社長に吉岡氏　相場操縦、再発防止にめど

　ＳＭＢＣ日興証券は３１日、吉岡秀二専務（５９）が４月１日付で社長に昇格する人事を発表した。近藤雄一郎社長（６１）と川嵜靖之会長（６４）は退任し、それぞれ特別顧問となる。２０２２年に金融庁の処分を受けた相場操縦事件を巡り、再発防止の取り組みに一定のめどがついたと判断した。
　吉岡氏は旧日興証券（現ＳＭＢＣ日興証券）の出身。同社は三井住友フィナンシャルグループに買収された後の１３年以降、２代にわたり三井住友銀行出身者が社長を務めていたが、近藤氏に続く生え抜きの社長となる。
　吉岡氏は東京都内で記者会見し、「管理体制を強化する枠組みの構築はおおむね終わった」と指摘。その上で「私の使命は会社再建をやり遂げることだ」と強調した。（2024/01/31-19:13）

Yoshioka to Become SMBC Nikko Securities CEO

SMBC Nikko Securities Inc. plans to promote Senior Managing Executive Officer Shuji Yoshioka to president and CEO on April 1 to replace Yuichiro Kondo, people familiar with the matter said Wednesday.
The change comes as the Japanese company judged that it has made certain progress in efforts to prevent a repeat of the stock market manipulation case, in which SMBC Nikko was punished by the Financial Services Agency in 2022.
