ドンキーコング・カントリー、来春開業　ニンテンドーワールド拡張―ＵＳＪ

　大阪市のテーマパーク、ユニバーサル・スタジオ・ジャパン（ＵＳＪ）の運営会社は５日、任天堂のゲームをテーマにした新エリア「ドンキーコング・カントリー」を来春オープンすると発表した。マリオに続く人気キャラクターを投入し、集客力の拡大を目指す。
　新エリアには、ドンキーコングが暮らすジャングルを再現するほか、トロッコ型のジェットコースターに乗って敵からバナナを守るアトラクションなどを設置する。マリオの世界を再現した「スーパー・ニンテンドー・ワールド」の敷地面積を１．７倍に拡張し、その中にドンキーコング・カントリーの新エリアを設けた。
　来春のオープンに先立ち、６日からはドンキーコングのカチューシャなど関連グッズの販売も開始する。（2023/12/05-11:50）

Theme park Universal Studios Japan in the western Japan city of Osaka will open next spring a new area featuring Nintendo Co.'s Donkey Kong video game series, its operator said Tuesday.
The operator, USJ LLC, hopes to increase the number of visitors through the new area based around the popular Nintendo game character.
