日野自と三菱ふそう、経営統合へ　新会社設立、「対等な立場で」

　日野自動車と三菱ふそうトラック・バスは３０日、経営統合に向けて基本合意したと発表した。商用車の開発や部品の調達、生産分野で協業する。両社統合へ持ち株会社を設立し、その株式を日野自の親会社であるトヨタ自動車と、三菱ふそうの親会社である独ダイムラートラックが同じ割合で保有。水素をはじめ次世代技術の開発で協力し、統合会社の競争力を支える。
　エンジンの認証不正で大規模な出荷停止に見舞われた日野自は、２０２３年３月期に純損益が１１７６億円の赤字に陥った。新たな４社の枠組みで経営を立て直す。
　同日夕に東京都内で記者会見を行い、トヨタの佐藤恒治社長は「三菱ふそうと日野自動車は対等な立場で統合する」と強調。ダイムラートラックのマーティン・ダウム最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）は「アジアのトラック市場における真のリーダーにしていく」と述べ、開発や調達、生産における事業の効率化を図る考えを示した。（2023/05/30-21:53）

Hino, Mitsubishi Fuso Agree on Management Integration

Hino Motors Ltd. and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corp. said Tuesday that they have reached a basic agreement on their management integration to cooperate in commercial vehicle development, procurement and production.
The two companies will become wholly owned subsidiaries of a new holding company to be established, and Toyota Motor Corp. and Daimler Truck AG, the parents of Hino and Mitsubishi Fuso, respectively, will equally own the new company.
