「マークＸ」生産終了　５１年の歴史に幕―トヨタ

最後に生産されたトヨタ自動車のセダン「マークＸ」。５１年の歴史に幕が下りた。＝２３日午後、愛知県豊田市の元町工場

　トヨタ自動車は２３日、セダン「マークＸ」の生産を終了し、１９６８年に登場した前身モデルの「コロナ　マークII」以来となる５１年の歴史に幕を下ろした。マークＸは、２００４年にマークIIの後継モデルとして誕生。最近はスポーツ用多目的車（ＳＵＶ）やミニバン人気に押され、販売が落ち込んでいた。（2019/12/23-19:40）

Toyota Ends Production of Mark X Luxury Sedan

Toyota Motor Corp. terminated the production of its Mark X luxury sedan, ending Mark model cars' over-five-decade history since the 1968 debut of the Corona Mark II.
An event to mark the production termination was held on Monday at the automaker's Motomachi Plant in the city of Toyota in Aichi Prefecture, central Japan, where the Mark X had been assembled.
