与信費用減で、純利益２割増　債券運用は苦戦―地銀決算

　地方銀行、第二地方銀行の２０２２年３月期決算（銀行単体）が１６日までにほぼ出そろった。業績を公表した９８行の純利益合計は、前期比２割超増え、約８４００億円となった。コロナ禍で企業の貸し倒れに備えて積み増していた与信関係費用の減少が寄与した。一方、海外を中心とする金利上昇（債券価格は下落）などを背景に債券関係損益は赤字が大幅に拡大した。（2022/05/16-21:13）

Japanese Regional Banks Post 20 Pct Profit Growth

The combined net profit of 98 Japanese regional and second-tier regional banks climbed by over 20 pct to about 840 billion yen in the year ended March from the previous year thanks to reduced credit costs.
Over 80 pct of them reported higher profits or swung to profits. A decrease in corporate bankruptcies thanks to COVID-19 relief to businesses from the government and banks led to a 30 pct drop in credit costs.
