電力７社が下方修正　燃料高騰、２社は赤字―２２年３月期

　電力大手１０社の２０２１年９月連結中間決算が２９日、出そろった。火力発電に使用する液化天然ガス（ＬＮＧ）などの価格高騰で燃料費負担が重くなり、全社の純利益が減少。通期（２２年３月期）の純損益予想は７社が下方修正し、このうち東京電力ホールディングス（ＨＤ）と中国電力の２社が赤字に転落する見込みとなった。
　業績の悪化は、燃料費の上昇分が電気代に遅れて反映される「燃料費調整制度」の影響で、電力会社の負担が一時的に増加するためだ。東電ＨＤは通期の純損益が１６０億円の赤字（前期１８０８億円の黒字）、中国電は１４０億円の赤字（同１４５億円の黒字）となる見通しだ。
　一方、原発の再稼働が進む関西電力と九州電力、ＬＮＧ調達コストの削減に取り組んだという東北電力の３社は、純利益予想を据え置いた。（2021/10/29-19:40）

Soaring Fuel Prices Force Japan Power Utilities to Cut Projections

In the face of soaring prices for thermal power plant fuels, seven of Japan's 10 regional power utilities downgraded their projections for the year through March 2022, in their April-September earnings reports released by Friday.
Of the seven, Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc. and Chugoku Electric Power Co. are now expected to fall into the red, forecasting consolidated annual net losses of 16 billion and 14 billion yen, respectively.
