秋篠宮さま、５４歳に　新時代も「国民と苦楽共に」―眞子さま結婚「話す機会ない」

　秋篠宮さまは３０日、５４歳の誕生日を迎えられた。これに先立ち、東京・元赤坂の赤坂東邸で記者会見に臨んだ。令和となり、新しい時代の皇室像について、平成の皇室のように「国民と苦楽を共にし国民の幸せを願いつつ務めを果たしていく」ことが基本と明言。「時代に即した在り方というのは、常に考えていかなければいけない」とも述べた。
　皇位継承順位１位の皇嗣となり、将来、高齢で即位する可能性があることを問われると、「一人間がどの段階で何ができるかというのは、個体差になりますので、随分人によって違うのではないか」との考えを示した。

　平成の間は同妃紀子さま（５３）と会見していたが、代替わりに伴い単独での会見となった。長女眞子さま（２８）の結婚の見通しについては、結婚関係儀式の延期発表から来年２月で２年となるのを機に「何らかのことは発表する必要がある」と述べた。眞子さまとは「結婚のことについては話をする機会はありません」「小室家とは連絡は私は取っておりません」と明かした。
　即位の礼や大嘗祭については、「無事に終わったことを安堵（あんど）しています」と感想を述べた。前回、平成の「即位礼正殿の儀」の際は、隣にいる兄の天皇陛下の所作を見ていればよかったが、今回はそうはいかず、「その辺りは少し緊張しました」と述べると、会見場で笑いが起きた。
　宗教色の強い大嘗祭への国費支出について、昨年の会見で、天皇家の私費である「内廷会計で行うべきだ」と発言。「今も昨年お話しした時と気持ちは変わりません」と強調した。（2019/11/30-00:26）

Japan's Imperial Family will continue playing its role for the people after the Imperial succession in May, Crown Prince Akishino has told a recent press conference to mark his 54th birthday Saturday.
   The basic principle is that the family "will fulfill its duties while sharing joys and sorrows with the people and praying for their happiness" as it did during the reign of Emperor Emeritus Akihito, the Crown Prince said.
   This was his first press conference since he rose to first in line to the throne as Emperor Naruhito succeeded to it, opening the Reiwa period.
   "We must constantly be thinking about how (the family) should be in a way that goes with the times," the Crown Prince also said.
   On the possibility that he may ascend the throne in old age, he said, "What a person can do at a certain stage in life depends on the individual, so the situation differs from person to person."
