ドコモ障害「重大事故」　行政指導を検討―総務省

　ＮＴＴドコモで１４日に発生した通信障害について、総務省が電気通信事業法の「重大な事故」に当たると判断したことが１９日、分かった。同省は来月１３日までに、ドコモから事故の原因や影響範囲など詳細の報告を受け、報告内容を分析した上で行政指導を検討する。
　ドコモによると通信障害は１４日夕、全国で発生し、少なくとも約２００万人が２時間以上、ネットワークに接続できなくなった。事業者が１１０番などの緊急通報を１時間以上できない通信障害を起こし、３万人以上に影響が及んだ場合、同法は重大な事故として総務省に報告するよう規定している。
　ドコモは、位置情報の登録に利用するサーバーを切り替える作業がうまくいかなかったことが原因と説明。今月下旬までに再発防止策をまとめる方針を示している。（2021/10/19-12:05）

NTT Docomo's Service Disruption Judged Serious Incident

Japan's communications ministry has judged mobile phone carrier NTT Docomo Inc.'s nationwide service disruption last week to be a "serious incident" under the telecommunications business law, it was learned Tuesday.
The ministry expects to receive a report from NTT Docomo on the details of the incident, such as the cause and scale, by Nov. 13. Based on the report, the ministry will consider whether to issue administrative guidance to NTT Docomo, informed sources said.
