核兵器廃絶へ祈り　訪日前にメッセージ―ローマ法王

　【パリ時事】２３～２６日の訪日を控えたフランシスコ・ローマ法王は１８日、インターネット上で日本に向けたビデオメッセージを公表し、「核兵器による破壊が二度と行われないよう皆さんと共に祈る。核兵器の使用は倫理に反する」と訴えた。
　法王は約３分間のビデオで、「私の訪問が、揺るぎない平和へと導く道を皆さんが歩む励みとなることを期待する」と表明。「皆さん全員と一人一人のために心を合わせて祈る」と述べた。（2019/11/18-22:29）

Pope Calls for A-Bomb Abolition before Japan Visit

Pope Francis called for the abolition of nuclear weapons in a video message released online Monday ahead of his visit to Japan.
   "Together with all of you, I pray that the destructive power of nuclear weapons is never used again in human history. It is immoral to use nuclear weapons," the three-minute message said.
   The pope is set to visit Japan for four days from Saturday.
   He expressed hope that his visit will encourage people to proceed along the path to "firm and lasting" peace.
   "I assure you of my solidarity prayer for all and each one of you," he also said.
