イオンモール、ミャンマー１号店に遅れ　着工めど立たず

　イオンモールは１９日、ミャンマーで計画しているショッピングセンター１号店の建設について、今夏ごろまでの予定だった着工が遅れると明らかにした。同国では国軍による２月のクーデター以降、市民への弾圧などで混乱が続いており、着工のめどは立っていない。
　同社は現地企業と合弁で、２０２３年度中に最大都市ヤンゴンの郊外に「イオンモール」１号店を開業する計画を進めている。情勢が落ち着けば大きな成長が見込める市場だと判断しており、撤退は考えていないという。（2021/05/19-20:24）

Aeon Mall Construction Being Delayed in Myanmar

Japanese retailer Aeon Mall Co. said Wednesday that the construction of its first shopping center in Myanmar will not start by this summer as scheduled.
The company is not sure when the work will begin amid continuing violence against citizens by the military since its coup in February.
