永易克典氏死去、７４歳　三菱東京ＵＦＪ銀元頭取―米証券出資主導

　三菱東京ＵＦＪ銀行（現三菱ＵＦＪ銀行）元頭取の永易克典（ながやす・かつのり）氏が３日午後５時１０分、頸部（けいぶ）食道がんのため東京都内の病院で死去した。７４歳だった。愛媛県出身。２００８年に頭取に就任し、約９０億ドルに上る米証券大手モルガン・スタンレーへの出資を主導するなど、リーマン・ショック時の激動期に国内外で経営基盤の強化に取り組んだ。
　葬儀は近親者で執り行った。喪主は妻久生（ひさお）さん。後日、三菱ＵＦＪ銀行主催の「お別れの会」を開催予定。連絡先は同行秘書室。
　１９７０年に三菱銀行（現三菱ＵＦＪ銀行）入行。法人営業部門で手腕を発揮し、頭取時代にはモルガン・スタンレーへの出資のほか、信販大手ニコスや消費者金融大手アコムの子会社化など国内外で統合再編戦略を進め、現在の三菱ＵＦＪフィナンシャル・グループ（ＦＧ）の基盤を構築した。１０年にはＦＧ社長にも就任。全国銀行協会の会長も２回務めた。（2021/05/10-20:41）

Katsunori Nagayasu, former head of Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, currently MUFG Bank, died of cervical esophageal cancer at a Tokyo hospital on May 3. He was 74 years old.
   Nagayasu worked to strengthen the bank's operating foundations at home and abroad, including by investing about 9 billion dollars in U.S. financial giant Morgan Stanley, following the 2008 financial crisis.
   He became the Japanese bank's president in 2008 after joining Sanwa Bank, one of its predecessors, in 1970.
   He also helped develop the foundations of Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. , which owns MUFG Bank, by promoting mergers and acquisitions in Japan and overseas. He assumed the group's presidential post in 2010.
   Outside the bank, Nagayasu served as chairman of the Japanese Bankers Association twice.
