中古車販売、１．３％増　コロナ下、堅調に推移―２０年度

　日本自動車販売協会連合会が１２日発表した２０２０年度の中古車販売台数（軽自動車除く）は、前年度比１．３％増の３８５万６８６３台と、２年ぶりにプラスとなった。新型コロナウイルス感染拡大の影響で台数を落とした新車販売に比べ、堅調な推移を示した。
　コロナ禍で所得水準低下への不安が増大する中で電車通勤の「密」を避ける風潮が強まり、新車より安価な中古車に消費が流れたことが背景にあるとみられる。（2021/04/12-16:19）

Used vehicle sales in Japan in fiscal 2020 rose 1.3 pct from the preceding year to 3,856,863 units, the first increase in two years, apparently reflecting demand related to the coronavirus epidemic, industry data showed Monday.
With automobiles often preferred to crowded trains for commuting amid the epidemic, growing concerns over income declines appear to have encouraged people to purchase used vehicles, which are cheaper than new ones.
