桜開花・満開、最も早く　２～３月高温、記録続出

　気象庁が各地で観測する桜（ソメイヨシノ）の開花、満開が今春は急速に進み、１９５３年の統計開始以来、最も早い記録になる所が相次いでいる。開花は３月１１日の広島市から始まり、４月２日に山形市に到達。満開は３月２２日の福岡市が最初で、同月３１日に新潟市、仙台市まで進んだ。福岡は過去の記録に並び、広島や山形、新潟、仙台は記録を更新した。
　この早さは「２月から３月に気温が平年より高く推移したため」（仙台管区気象台）。特に３月は北、東、西日本の平均気温が４６年の統計開始以来の最高記録を更新した。
　気象庁によると、６０年代には４月１日までに開花するラインが九州や四国のほか、紀伊半島から三浦半島にかけての沿岸部だったが、２０００年代には関東や東海、近畿、中国に北上。地球温暖化の影響とみられる。今春は北陸の新潟、富山、金沢、福井に加え、東北の福島、仙台で３月下旬に開花、満開となった。
　ただ、桜の花芽は夏に形成されてから休眠し、冬の厳しい寒さで目覚める必要がある。昨年１２月から今年１月はこのプロセスが順調に進んだが、冬の温暖化が進むと目覚められず、開花がかえって遅れると分析する研究もあるという。
　仙台城跡を夫や友人と訪れた仙台市の７０代主婦は「津波で被災し、１０年間桜を見る気になれなかったが、久しぶりに来た。暖かく、桜が咲くと本当に春本番という感じがする」と話した。（2021/04/03-07:21）

Cherry blossoms are reaching full bloom at the fastest pace in many locations in Japan this spring since the meteorological agency started taking data in 1953, thanks to warmer weather in February and March.
   In the city of Hiroshima, a Somei-Yoshino cherry tree regularly monitored by the agency started to flower on March 11, ahead of sample trees in any other parts of Japan this season and marking the earliest date on record in the western city.
   The northeastern city of Yamagata also reported its earliest bloom of cherry blossoms, on Friday.
   Full bloom was first reported in the southwestern city of Fukuoka this season, on a record-tying date there of March 22.
   Hiroshima, the central city of Niigata, the northeastern city of Sendai and many other municipalities saw local cherry blossoms come into full bloom on their respective new record dates.
