防衛装備品協定に署名　日インドネシア２プラス２

　日インドネシア両政府は３０日、外務・防衛担当閣僚会合（２プラス２）を東京都内で開いた。約５年ぶりの開催で、防衛装備品の輸出を可能とする協定に署名した。２国間の安全保障協力強化が狙いで、日本側は海上自衛隊護衛艦などの輸出を想定。日本が同協定を結ぶのは米国や英国、マレーシア、フィリピンなどに続いて１０カ国目。
　茂木敏充外相は会合後の共同記者発表で、協定について「両国の安保協力拡大の基盤になり、地域の脅威に共同対処する象徴となる」と強調した。
　会合では、日本が提唱する「自由で開かれたインド太平洋」実現に向け、協力を推進していくことで一致した。岸信夫防衛相は沖縄県・尖閣諸島周辺で領海侵入を繰り返す中国海警局の活動を念頭に「東・南シナ海で力を背景とした一方的な現状変更の試みが強化されていることを懸念する」と指摘。海警局に武器使用権限を付与した海警法については「日インドネシアを含む関係国の正当な権益を損なうことがあってはならない」と述べた。４閣僚は「深刻な懸念」を共有した。（2021/03/30-21:41）

The Japanese and Indonesian governments held a "two-plus-two" meeting for the first time in five years and signed a treaty that allows Japan to export defense equipment to the Southeast Asian nation.
   Indonesia became the 10th country to conclude such a pact with Japan, following the United States, China, Malaysia and the Philippines.
   Under the treaty to enhance national security cooperation through defense equipment exports and technology transfers, Japan aims to supply destroyers and other equipment of the Maritime Self-Defense Force to Indonesia.
   In his opening remarks at the meeting of defense and foreign ministers, held in Tokyo, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said, "Solidarity of countries sharing the same fundamental values and principles is required more than ever at a time when the international security environment is drastically changing."
   During the meeting, Japanese Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi expressed concerns over "unilateral attempts to change the status quo through the use of force in the East China Sea and the South China Sea" by China, whose coast guard ships have been repeatedly intruding into Japanese waters around the Senkaku Islands in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan's southernmost prefecture.
