世界初のレベル３自動運転車　ホンダの新型「レジェンド」―５日発売

　ホンダは４日、市販車として世界初となる「レベル３」機能を搭載した新型高級セダン「レジェンド」を発表した。緊急事態に備えて運転を代われる状況であれば、高速道路の渋滞時にスマートフォン操作などが可能になる。５日に発売し、価格は従来比で３００万円以上高い１１００万円。
　自動運転車は機能によってレベル１～５に分かれる。ハンドルやブレーキ、アクセルの操作を部分的に自動化した「レベル２」車は他社でも既に市販されている。
　さらに進んだレベル３は、車に搭載されたシステムがこれら操作をドライバーに代わって行う。新型レジェンドでは、高速の渋滞時など一定条件の下で前方車両に追随する低速走行や停止、再発進をシステムに任せることができる。（2021/03/04-17:44）

Honda Motor Co. will launch on Friday the world's first commercial vehicle equipped with the "Level 3" self-driving technology, the Japanese automaker said Thursday.
With the technology, the new Legend luxury sedan version sets the driver free from controlling the steering wheel as well as the brake and gas pedals under certain driving conditions, such as traveling at low speed on a congested expressway, Honda said.
