非接触で指認証、日立が装置開発　数百万人に対応

　日立製作所は２日、非接触（タッチレス）対応の指認証装置を開発したと発表した。同様の製品は富士通などが販売しているが、日立の新製品は数百万人の指情報を識別できる「世界トップクラスの性能」（広報）という。（2021/03/02-16:16）

Hitachi Makes Contactless Finger Vein Authentication Device

Hitachi Ltd. said Tuesday it has developed a device to authenticate individuals with vein patterns inside their fingers in a noncontact manner as the coronavirus pandemic boosts demand for contactless systems.
The device reads finger vein patterns from a person's hand held over it with infrared rays and checks them against the person's registered data for identification. The technology can be applied to cashless payment systems.
