大手百貨店売上高５～１１％減　落ち込み縮小も楽観できず―２月

　大手百貨店４社が１日発表した２月の既存店売上高（速報）は、前年同月比５～１１％減となり、減少率は３割前後だった１月よりも縮小した。昨年２月に新型コロナウイルス禍で訪日外国人旅行者（インバウンド）需要が急減した影響が大きく、先行きは楽観できない。
　落ち込み幅はそごう・西武が１１．０％、大丸と松坂屋を傘下に持つＪ・フロントリテイリングが１０．７％、三越伊勢丹ホールディングス（ＨＤ）が８．０％、高島屋が５．５％だった。（2021/03/01-19:15）

Drops in Major Japanese Dept. Stores Sales Smaller in Feb.

Four major Japanese department store operators saw their same-store sales fall 5-11 pct from a year earlier in February, compared with drops by around 30 pct the previous month, their preliminary reports showed Monday.
Attributing the smaller year-on-year contraction rates to a plunge in demand from foreign visitors in February last year due to the novel coronavirus outbreaks in China and other countries, the store operators said optimism cannot be warranted for recoveries in their sales.
