武田、ワクチンの国内治験開始　米ノババックス開発

　武田薬品工業は２４日、米バイオ医薬品企業ノババックスが開発した新型コロナウイルスワクチンについて、日本国内での臨床試験（治験）を開始したと発表した。７月以降に結果をまとめ、厚生労働省に薬事承認を申請。年内の供給開始を目指す。
　武田はノババックスから技術移転を受け、国内で年間２億５０００万回（１億２５００万人）分以上の生産能力を整備している。ノババックスのワクチンは通常の冷蔵庫で保存可能で、英国での治験では９割近い感染予防効果が示された。（2021/02/24-16:57）

Clinical Test for Novavax Vaccine Starts in Japan

Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. has started a clinical test in Japan for U.S. biopharmaceutical firm Novavax Inc.'s coronavirus vaccine.
The major Japanese drugmaker plans to round up the test results in July or later, aiming to apply with the health ministry for approval of the vaccine's administration in Japan. It hopes to start supplying the vaccine in the country by the end of this year.
