陸自、インド陸軍との対テロ訓練公開＝連携強化、中国も念頭

　【バランテ（インド）時事】陸上自衛隊とインド陸軍は３０、３１の両日、インド北東部ミゾラム州バランテの軍訓練施設で対テロ共同訓練を報道陣に公開した。日印両国は、中国の進出けん制を念頭に置いた「自由で開かれたインド太平洋」構想を共有するパートナー。今回は初めて陸自トップの湯浅悟郎陸上幕僚長が視察し、インド側との関係深化を図った。
　訓練は１０月中旬に始まった。陸自からは、２０２０年の東京五輪・パラリンピック開催も踏まえ、首都圏防衛を担当する部隊が参加した。
　報道公開では、武装集団が人質を取ってジャングル内にある施設に立てこもった状況を想定。両国の部隊計約５０人が情報を共有し、作戦を練った上で扉を爆破、建物内に入り人質を救助した。このほか、ジャングル内での行動訓練や実弾射撃も実施された。
　湯浅陸幕長は視察後、「中国の力を背景にした現状変更は、日印共通の懸念事項だ。連携して共通の課題に向き合うことは不安定要因の抑止につながる」と述べた。印北東部を管轄するインド陸軍第三軍団長のラジーブ・シロヒ中将は「日印が政治、経済とともに軍事面で関係を深めるために重要な訓練だった」と評価した。（2019/10/31-14:21）

Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force and the Indian army invited members of the press to observe their joint antiterror exercises over two days through Thursday at a military training facility in Vairengte in the northeastern Indian state of Mizoram.
   Japan and India share the vision of a free and open Indo-Pacific region, which is apparently aimed at keeping China's expansion in check.
   GSDF Chief of Staff Gen. Goro Yuasa inspected the training, the second of its kind, in the hope of strengthening ties with the Indian side. He is the first GSDF leader to do so. The Japan-India antiterror drills started last year.
   A GSDF unit in charge of protecting the Tokyo metropolitan area is taking part in the ongoing exercises, which kicked off in mid-October, in the run-up to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
   Invited journalists watched the GSDF and the Indian army training under a scenario of an armed group taking hostages and barricading itself in a jungle facility. A total of some 50 troops from the two sides shared information, created an operation plan, and practiced blowing the door off the facility, entering the structure and rescuing the hostages. They also conducted live-fire exercises.
