プラごみ「関心ある」９割＝弁当飾り、レジ袋は過剰－内閣府調査

　内閣府は２５日、プラスチックごみ問題に関する初の世論調査の結果を公表した。プラごみによる海洋汚染などについて８９．０％が「関心がある」と回答。プラスチックを使った過剰な商品・サービスとして、約半数が弁当の小分け容器や飾り、レジ袋を挙げた。
　プラごみ問題について３３．５％が「非常に関心がある」、５５．５％が「ある程度関心がある」と答えた。「あまり関心がない」は９．１％、「まったく関心がない」は１．７％だった。
　プラスチックを使った過剰なサービス（複数回答）として「弁当の使い捨て小分け用容器や飾り」（５０．３％）、「レジ袋」（５０．１％）が最も多く、「通販などの包装、緩衝材」（４５．８％）、「飲み物のストロー・かき混ぜ棒」（４４．８％）などが続いた。
　プラごみによる海洋汚染について知っていること（複数回答）では、「海の生物がプラごみに絡まったり誤飲することで傷ついたり死んだりしている」（７８．２％）などが認知度が高かった一方、「歯磨き粉などに含まれる微小なプラスチック粒が海に流出している」は２１．５％と低かった。（2019/10/25-17:10）

A Cabinet Office survey showed Friday that 89.0 pct of people in Japan are interested in marine pollution caused by plastic waste and other environmental issues.
   According to the government survey, 33.5 pct of the respondents are "very" interested in plastic waste problems and 55.5 pct are interested in the issues "to some extent."
   The proportion of those who are "not very concerned" with and having "no interest" in the problems came to 9.1 pct and 1.7 pct, respectively.
   Asked about excessive services using plastics, with multiple answers allowed, disposable small containers and ornaments for "bento" boxed meals were cited by 50.3 pct, shopping bags by 50.1 pct, wrapping and cushioning materials for mail-order items by 45.8 pct, and straws and stir sticks for drinks by 44.8 pct.
   In the survey, 78.2 pct said they know that marine creatures would die or be hurt by swallowing or being tangled in plastic waste. But only 21.5 pct said they are aware that microplastics contained in toothpaste and other goods are flowing into the ocean.
