「中東安定へ外交継続」＝安倍首相、イラン副大統領に伝達

　安倍晋三首相は２４日、天皇陛下の「即位礼正殿の儀」に参列した各国元首らとの「マラソン会談」を続行した。首相はイランのジョネイディ副大統領と東京・元赤坂の迎賓館で会い、中東情勢の安定化に向け「粘り強く外交努力を継続していく」と伝達。副大統領は「日本の外交努力を歓迎する」と述べた。日本政府が検討している自衛隊派遣は話題にならなかったという。（2019/10/24-21:26）

Abe Promises Diplomacy for Middle East Stability

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's string of meetings with world leaders continued Thursday, including talks with Iranian Vice President Laya Joneydi in which the prime minister stressed his country's commitment to help stabilize the Middle East through diplomacy.
   "We will persistently continue our diplomatic efforts," Abe said.
   Joneydi said her country welcomes Japan's efforts.
   The two did not speak about Japan's possible deployment of the Self-Defense Forces to the Middle East.
   The prime minister has been having talks with foreign dignitaries visiting Japan for the "Sokuirei-Seiden-no-Gi" ceremony held on Tuesday for proclaiming Emperor Naruhito's enthronement.
