９月の韓国訪日客、６割減＝落ち込み拡大、旅行控え鮮明に－全体は５．２％増

　日本政府観光局が１６日発表した９月の訪日外国人数（推計値）によると、韓国からは前年同月比５８．１％減の２０万１２００人だった。マイナスは３カ月連続で、半減した８月から落ち込み幅が拡大。日韓関係の悪化が続く中、訪日旅行を控える動きがより鮮明となった形だ。
　韓国からの訪日客数は２０１８年、中国に続き２番目に多かった。全体の訪日客数は同年まで６年連続で過去最高を更新し、今年１～９月も前年同期比４．０％増の２４４１万７８００人。しかし、韓国からの大幅な減少がこのまま続けば、全体を押し下げる要因となりかねない。
　観光庁の田端浩長官は記者会見で、日韓関係だけでなく韓国経済の悪化などを挙げ、「さまざまなマイナス要因があり、状況を注視していきたい」と述べた。
　一方、９月の訪日客数は前年同月比５．２％増の２２７万２９００人。中国が２５．５％増の８１万９１００人となるなど、韓国を除くアジア各国が好調だった。ラグビーのワールドカップ（Ｗ杯）の開催が追い風となり、欧州やオーストラリアからの旅行者も大きく伸びた。特に英国は８４．４％増の４万９６００人で、単月として過去最高を記録した。（2019/10/16-20:06）

The number of South Korean visitors to Japan in September dived 58.1 pct from a year before to 201,200, reflecting soured bilateral ties over history and trade issues, a government estimate showed on Wednesday.
   The South Korean visitor figure was down for the third consecutive month, and the September decline was even steeper than the previous month's fall of about 50 pct, according to the Japan National Tourism Organization.
   The total of foreign visitors in September, meanwhile, is estimated at 2,272,900, up 5.2 pct, including 819,100 from China, up 25.5 pct.
   The Rugby World Cup being held in Japan from late September apparently led to jumps in the number of visitors from Europe and Australia.
   In particular, the number of British visitors shot up 84.4 pct to 49,600, a record high for any month.
