島外避難第２陣、鹿児島市に到着　４６人、震度５強相次ぐ―悪石島と小宝島から・十島村

　群発地震が続くトカラ列島（鹿児島県十島村）の悪石島と小宝島で６日午前、島外避難を希望した計４６人を乗せた村営フェリーが出航し、同日夕、鹿児島港（鹿児島市）に到着した。悪石島住民の島外避難は２回目で、小宝島は初めて。
　悪石島では、同日午後も震度５強の地震が連続して２回観測された。地震の規模（マグニチュード＝Ｍ）と震源の深さは、午後２時１分ごろ発生がＭ４．９で２１キロ、同２時７分ごろ発生がＭ５．５で２３キロ。７日午前０時１２分にも震度５弱の揺れを観測し、地震の規模はＭ４．９、震源の深さは２０キロだった。
　鹿児島港に到着した島民らは、大きなスーツケースを持ち、疲れた表情で下船した。親元から離れて小宝島で生活する小中学生の寮で寮監を務める斉藤星さん（４８）は、寮生６人と妻、子どもと共に避難。「子どもたちも元気良く到着でき、安心している」と話した上で、「地震が落ち着いてくれれば」と願った。
　トカラ列島近海を震源とする群発地震は６月２１日に始まり、気象庁によると、体に感じる震度１以上の地震は今月６日午後までに１５００回を超えた。悪石島では３日に震度６弱の揺れを観測し、避難を希望する住民１３人は４日、フェリーで鹿児島市に避難。同島では５日朝にも震度５強の地震が１回あり、悪石島近くの小宝島では２日に震度５弱を観測した。
　同庁の海老田綾貴・地震津波監視課長は６日に記者会見し、「地震活動は依然として活発だ。悪石島から震源が近く、浅いので、震度５強を連続的に観測した」と説明。引き続き６弱程度の地震に注意するよう呼び掛けた。（2025/07/07-00:57）

A total of 46 evacuees left Akusekijima and Kodakarajima aboard a ferry Sunday morning after a series of strong earthquakes rocked the Tokara chain islands in the village of Toshima, Kagoshima Prefecture, southwestern Japan.
   The ferry, operated by the village, is scheduled to arrive at Kagoshima Port in the prefectural capital city of Kagoshima in the evening on the same day.
   This is the second time that residents of Akusekijima have evacuated the island, and the first time for those of Kodakarajima.
   The series of earthquakes with their epicenters in the seas around the Tokara Islands began on June 21. A jolt measuring lower 6, the third highest on the Japanese seismic intensity scale, was observed on Akusekijima on Thursday, and 13 residents of the island who wished to evacuate took a ferry to the city of Kagoshima on Friday. Akusekijima experienced earthquakes measuring upper 5 on Saturday and Sunday.
   Kodakarajima, located close to Akusekijima, has also been hit by many earthquakes, including one that measured lower 5 on Wednesday.
