蘇州襲撃１年、日本人社会に傷　真相は不明のまま―中国

　【蘇州時事】中国江蘇省蘇州市で日本人母子が襲撃され、中国人女性が死亡した事件から２４日で１年。犯人の男は故意殺人罪で死刑判決が確定し、既に執行された。現地の日本人社会に一時広がった不安は落ち着きつつあるが、事件の「傷」は残っている。日本人を狙ったのかなど、犯行の背景や真相が公判で明らかにされなかったこともあり、警戒が続く。
　事件では、日本人学校のスクールバスを待っていた日本人母子が刃物で切り付けられて負傷し、バスの案内係の中国人女性、胡友平さんが死亡。今年１月の一審判決は、周加勝・元死刑囚が「借金苦から生きているのが嫌になり、３人を殺傷した」と認定し、死刑を言い渡した。だが、被害者がなぜ日本人だったのかへの言及はなかった。
　昨年９月には広東省深セン市で、日本人学校の男児が登校中に刃物で刺され死亡する事件も発生した。中国各地の日本人学校では、スクールバスの警備を強化するなど安全対策を継続している。事件現場に居合わせた児童からは「バスに乗るのが怖い」と訴える声もあり、学校ではこうした児童の「心のケア」も進めているという。
　蘇州で勤務する日本人駐在員は「現地の日本人社会に今は緊張した雰囲気はなく、落ち着いている」と語る。ただ、中国では盧溝橋事件が起きた７月７日など９月にかけて反日感情が高まるとされる「敏感な日」が続く。日本大使館は在留邦人に注意喚起していく構えだ。（2025/06/24-18:53）

An attack on a Japanese woman and her child in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, eastern China, a year ago has scarred the Japanese community in China.
   On June 24, 2024, the woman and child were waiting for a school bus for a Japanese school in the city when they were attacked by a knife-wielding man. The attack left the two Japanese nationals injured and a Chinese woman who was a guide on the bus dead.
   The man, Zhou Jiasheng, was sentenced to death for murder. In April this year, the Chinese Foreign Ministry informed the Japanese Embassy in China that he had been executed.
   The panic that had spread among Japanese nationals living in China shortly after the incident has dissipated. But many remain wary, as the attacker's trial did not shed light on his motives or other details, such as whether he targeted Japanese.
   In January this year, a Chinese district court found that the man killed or injured the three individuals because he was tired of living in debt. But the court, which sentenced him to death, failed to mention why Japanese nationals were attacked.
