ガソリン減税法案、廃案に　通常国会が事実上閉幕

　第２１７通常国会は２１日、事実上閉幕した。与野党は野党７党が提出したガソリン税暫定税率廃止法案を巡って週末の同日も駆け引きを続けたが、会期内採決を要求する野党と慎重審議を主張する与党の折り合いがつかなかった。同法案は２２日の閉会に伴って廃案となる。
　これにより、参院選を「７月３日公示、２０日投開票」で行う日程が固まった。政府が近く閣議決定する見通しだ。
　法案は立憲民主党、日本維新の会、国民民主党などが提出したもので、暫定税率を７月１日に廃止する内容。野党は自民党の衆院財務金融委員長を解任決議で差し替える形で委員会採決に踏み切り、２０日の衆院本会議で衆院を通過させた。
　参院財政金融委員会は２１日、同法案の実質審議に入った。野党が同日中の採決を求めたのに対し、与党は時期尚早だと拒否。三宅伸吾委員長（自民）は採決しないまま委員会を散会させた。
　これを受け、立民、維新、国民民主、社民４党は三宅委員長の解任決議案を提出。しかし、参院本会議への上程は参院議院運営委員会で与党の反対多数で否決され、野党は手詰まり状態に陥った。
　自民の石井準一参院国対委員長は記者会見で、法案採決を拒否した理由について「会期末ぎりぎりで、チェック機能を十分に果たせない」と説明。立民の水岡俊一参院議員会長は党会合で「議決なき終局は許されない」と与党の対応を批判した。
　国会審議が土曜日に行われるのは異例で、野党には参院選に向けて国民生活重視の姿勢をアピールする狙いがあったとみられる。（2025/06/21-19:10）

This year's ordinary session of the Diet ended in substance on Saturday, before its official close on Sunday, after the House of Councillors forwent a vote on an opposition-sponsored bill to abolish the provisional gasoline tax rate.
   On Saturday, the Upper House Committee on Financial Affairs met to discuss the bill, but the meeting ended without a vote. Opposition parties then submitted a motion to dismiss Shingo Miyake of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party as chairman of the committee.
   However, the Rules and Administration Committee of the Upper House decided not to put the motion to a full Upper House vote.
   Ahead of the Upper House election next month, the opposition camp demanded a full Upper House vote on the gasoline tax bill within Saturday, but the LDP-Komeito coalition rejected the demand. The ruling bloc holds a majority in the chamber.
   Junichi Ishii, the LDP's parliamentary affairs chief in the Upper House, told Yoshitaka Saito, his counterpart from the main opposition Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, at their meeting on the day that the bill does not deserve a vote.
