給付金、減税より効果的　関税交渉、石破首相「精力的に調整」―内外会見

　【カルガリー（カナダ）時事】石破茂首相は１７日午後（日本時間１８日午前）、先進７カ国首脳会議（Ｇ７サミット）の全日程を終え、カナダ西部カルガリーで内外記者会見に臨んだ。自民党の参院選公約に掲げる全国民への２万円給付案に関して「消費税減税には時間がかかる。物価高に苦しんでいる方々への対応としては給付金の方がはるかに効果的だ」と述べた。日米関税交渉については精力的に調整する考えを強調した。
　立憲民主党などは参院選公約に消費税減税を盛り込んでいる。首相は「消費税は社会保障の貴重な財源だ」と指摘。「軽々に減税することには慎重の上にも慎重であるべきだ」と述べ、重ねて否定的な考えを示した。
　イスラエルとイランの交戦によって原油価格の上昇が見込まれることを踏まえ、経済産業省に必要な対策を検討するよう指示したことも明らかにした。
　トランプ米政権との今後の関税交渉について、首相は「引き続き国益を守りながら、日米双方にとって利益となる合意が実現できるよう精力的に調整を続ける」と強調。同時に「ゆっくり急ぐことが大切だ。早期合意を優先するあまり、国益を損なうものであってはならない」とも語った。
　野党が今国会に内閣不信任決議案を提出した場合の対応に関しては「仮定の質問へのコメントは差し控える」と言及を避けた。（2025/06/18-12:22）

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba on Tuesday vowed to realize a tariff agreement between Japan and the United States that would benefit both.
   Ishiba discussed his country's ongoing negotiations over high U.S. tariffs on Japanese imports at a press conference in Calgary after the end of a two-day Group of Seven summit in Kananaskis, a mountain resort near Calgary.
   "We'll continue to work tirelessly to realize a deal that would be beneficial for both Japan and the United States, while protecting our national interests."
   On his ruling Liberal Democratic Party's plan to provide all citizens with 20,000 yen in cash benefits as part of its campaign promises for this summer's election for the House of Councillors, the upper chamber of parliament, Ishiba said, "A consumption tax cut would take too much time."
   "A cash handout is far more effective as a measure to help people struggling with the rising prices," he added.
