東北新幹線、一時運転見合わせ　東京―仙台間、新車の回送列車が故障

　１７日午前１１時２５分ごろ、東北新幹線宇都宮―那須塩原間で下り回送列車（７両編成）が車両故障のため停車した。この影響で、後続の下り列車２本も同区間で一時足止めされた。東北新幹線は東京―仙台間の上下線で約５時間半にわたり運転を見合わせ、約５万４７００人が影響を受けた。
　ＪＲ東日本によると、回送列車は昨年３月に運行を開始した「Ｅ８系」で、上野から盛岡に向かっていたところ加速できなくなった。点検で応急処置を行い、那須塩原に移動した。
　車両メーカーから納入されたばかりの新車で、営業列車として投入される前に行う確認走行中だった。同社が詳しい故障原因を調べている。
　後続の「はやぶさ１７号」の乗客６８２人は横付けした上り列車に乗り換えて宇都宮で下車。「やまびこ５７号」（乗客４８０人）も同駅に引き返した。体調不良などを訴えた乗客はいなかったという。
　上越・北陸新幹線に影響はなかった。（2025/06/17-21:28）

All Tohoku Shinkansen bullet train services between Tokyo Station and Sendai Station in northeastern Japan have been suspended Tuesday due to an inspection of a malfunctioning out-of-service train on the high-speed line.
   The outbound out-of-service train became unable to accelerate around 11:25 a.m. the same day while it was traveling the section between Utsunomiya and Nasushiobara stations in Tochigi Prefecture, and then stopped for inspection, according to East Japan Railway Co., or JR East, the operator of the Shinkansen line.
   Services will likely be resumed around 5 p.m., JR East said.
   The outbound Hayabusa No. 17 train, which was traveling after the malfunctioning train, also stopped between Utsunomiya and Nasushiobara. Its 682 passengers were transferred to an inbound train that was stopped next to it.
