日米首脳、カナダで会談へ　関税交渉の加速確認

　石破茂首相は１３日夜、トランプ米大統領と約２０分間電話会談を行い、カナダで１６日から開かれる先進７カ国首脳会議（Ｇ７サミット）に合わせ、対面で会談することを決めた。トランプ政権の高関税措置を巡る閣僚協議を加速させることも確認した。
　首相は首相公邸で記者団に「率直で有意義なやりとりができた」と強調。サミットでの対面会談に関し、「日米協力についてさらに議論を深めていく」と語った。
　両首脳の電話会談は５月２９日以来で、日本側から持ち掛けた。関税交渉に絡み、首脳間で改めて意思疎通を図るのが狙い。
　日本政府は自動車や鉄鋼・アルミニウムを含む関税措置の撤廃を一貫して要求している。サミット直前に行われる６回目の閣僚協議で交渉を進展させ、首脳間で一定の成果を示したい考えだ。
　電話会談ではイスラエルによるイラン攻撃についても協議。「中東地域の平和と安定が重要だ」との認識で一致した。（2025/06/13-23:35）

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba and U.S. President Donald Trump agreed on Friday to meet in person on the sidelines of a Group of Seven summit set to start on Monday in Canada.
   The two leaders, speaking by phone, also agreed to accelerate Japan-U.S. negotiations on Trump's tariffs.
   Ishiba and Trump also discussed Israel's attacks on Iran and agreed on the importance of peace and stability in the Middle East.
   The phone call took place at the request of the Japanese side. Japanese officials think that the two leaders need to keep in close contact with each other on the tariff negotiations.
   Tokyo has been demanding that Washington remove all tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on imports from Japan, including autos, steel and aluminum.
