石破首相、日米関税交渉「隔たり」　投資中心に議論、野党党首に説明

　石破茂首相（自民党総裁）は１２日、日米関税交渉への協力を得るため、立憲民主党の野田佳彦代表ら与野党６党首と会談した。出席者によると、首相は交渉の現状について「（日米間に）相当な隔たりがある」と認め、「関税よりも投資を中心に議論している」と明らかにした。「早期合意を優先して国益を損なうことはない」と強調した。
　会談は国会内で約４０分行われた。首相は冒頭、日本の対米直接投資残高が世界１位で、米国の貿易赤字に占める日本の割合が５．７％まで低下したとの資料を配布。交渉には(1)日米それぞれの貿易拡大(2)双方の利益(3)経済安全保障―を重視して臨んでいると述べ、「自動車のために農産物を犠牲にすることはない」と訴えた。
　国民民主党の玉木雄一郎代表は米国の長期金利の安定に向け、償還期間の長い米国債に日本政府が再投資するよう提案した。首相は日米財務当局間で協議していると応じた。
　野田氏は「２国間だけでなくマルチ（多国間）の枠組みを使って米包囲網をつくるべきだ」と主張。日本維新の会の前原誠司共同代表は日本の基幹産業である自動車の交渉状況をただした。玉木氏は内需拡大に向けて消費税減税の必要性も訴えた。
　会談には公明党の斉藤鉄夫代表、共産党の田村智子委員長、れいわ新選組の山本太郎代表も参加した。首相は「国難」と位置付ける米関税措置を巡って野党を巻き込み、内閣不信任決議案の提出見送りにつなげたい考えだ。（2025/06/12-17:49）

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba told opposition leaders on Thursday that Tokyo and Washington are considerably apart in negotiations over U.S. tariffs, people familiar with the conversations said.
   Ishiba said the Japan-U.S. negotiations are focused on investment rather than tariffs, adding that Tokyo will not rush into a quick agreement with Washington at the risk of undermining its national interests.
   He said that Japan focuses on mutual interests, economic security and the expansion of bilateral trade. Japan will not sacrifice agricultural products for automobiles, he said.
   Ishiba held the talks with opposition leaders to win support from them over the tariff negotiations. He apparently thinks that winning cooperation with them will help him avert a no-confidence motion.
   Leaders of opposition parties who met with Ishiba on Thursday included Yoshihiko Noda of the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, Seiji Maehara of Nippon Ishin no Kai (Japan Innovation Party) and Yuichiro Tamaki of the Democratic Party for the People.
