東電料金、８月は１０６１円安　政府補助再開、電力１０社で大幅下落

　東京電力の８月使用分（９月請求分）の電気料金が、標準家庭で前月比１０６１円安い７８１２円に値下がりする見通しであることが１８日、分かった。エアコンの使用が増える夏場に家庭などの負担を軽減するため、政府が補助金支給を再開することが影響する。関西、中部など他の大手電力９社や、都市ガス各社の料金も大幅に低下する見込みだ。
　政府は、ロシアのウクライナ侵攻後に始めた電気・ガス料金の補助を、今年５月の使用分でいったん打ち切った。しかし、物価高騰が続いていることを踏まえ、「酷暑の夏を乗り切る即効性の高い対策」（斎藤健経済産業相）として、８～１０月に再開することを決定。家庭用は８、９月に１キロワット時当たり４円を補助し、１０月は２．５円に減額する。（2024/07/18-15:05）

The electricity bill for a standard household in the Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc. service area for August is expected to fall by 1,061 yen from the previous month to 7,812 yen, thanks to the resumption of a subsidy program, it was learned Thursday.
   Electricity bills in other areas, as well as city gas bills, are also expected to drop significantly.
   The government introduced the subsidy program in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and ended it in May this year. As the cost of living has remained high, however, it has decided to resume the program for the three months from August.
   The resumption of the program will have "a quick effect in helping people survive the extreme summer heat," industry minister Ken Saito has said.
   The program will provide 4 yen per kilowatt-hour in August and September and 2.5 yen in October. According to TEPCO, the monthly power consumption of a standard household is estimated at 260 kilowatt-hours. In this case, the subsidies will push down the household's bill for August by 1,040 yen.
