１０月消費支出、２．５％減　物価高や残暑が影響

　総務省が８日発表した１０月の家計調査によると、１世帯（２人以上）当たりの消費支出は３０万１９７４円と、物価変動の影響を除いた実質で前年同月比２．５％減少した。マイナスは８カ月連続。物価高の影響などで食料支出が引き続き減少したほか、残暑が長引き、暖房器具や冬物衣料の消費が低迷した。
　項目別では、食料が４．４％減と１３カ月連続のマイナス。トマトやねぎなどが生育不良で価格が高騰し、野菜・海藻が１０．７％減。調理食品も弁当などが不振で５．４％減だった。
　家具・家事用品は１２．９％減。１０月の気温が高く、ストーブや温風ヒーター、エアコンといった暖房器具の需要が低迷し、家庭用耐久財は２４．８％減となった。冬物衣料も伸びず、被服および履物は９．７％減だった。
　光熱・水道は２．１％減。高い気温の影響でガス代や灯油代も減少した。
　一方、半導体不足の緩和で自動車購入が増加し、自動車等関係費は９．８％増。外出の増加で飲酒代や喫茶代が増え、外食は２．９％増だった。（2023/12/08-11:04）

Household spending in Japan in October fell 2.5 pct from a year before in price-adjusted real terms, reflecting lower expenditures on food amid soaring prices, the internal affairs ministry said Friday.
   Spending on heating equipment and winter clothes also slumped due to warm weather.
   Overall consumption spending by households with two or more members averaged 301,974 yen in October, down for the eighth straight month.
   Expenditures on food went down 4.4 pct, falling for the 13th consecutive month. Spending on vegetables and seaweed dropped 10.7 pct, with poor harvests pushing up the prices of tomatoes, green onions and other vegetables. Purchases of ready-made meals sagged 5.4 pct.
   Spending on furniture and other household goods declined 12.9 pct. Expenditures on household durable goods sank 24.8 pct as high temperatures in October weighed on demand for fan heaters and air conditioners. Purchases of clothing and shoes were down 9.7 pct, reflecting sluggish demand for winter clothes.
