ビッグモーターの登録取り消し　保険代理店、今月末に―金融庁

　鈴木俊一金融相は１４日の閣議後記者会見で、保険金不正請求問題を起こした中古車販売大手ビッグモーター（東京）の保険代理店登録を３０日に取り消す方針を決めたと明らかにした。同社から処分案について意見を聞く「聴聞」の手続きを２１日に行った上で実施する。
　金融庁はビッグモーターに対し、９月から保険業法に基づく立ち入り検査を実施。その結果、「適正な保険募集のための体制整備が行われていないことが確認された」（鈴木氏）として、保険代理店にとって最も重い処分に踏み切る。（2023/11/14-10:53）

Japan's Financial Services Agency plans to revoke major used car dealer Bigmotor Co.'s registration as an insurance agent on Nov. 30 following the revelation of its fraudulent auto insurance claims, financial services minister Shunichi Suzuki said Tuesday.
   The administrative penalty, the heaviest punishment against insurance agents, will be given to Bigmotor after the FSA hears opinions from the company on Nov. 21.
   Through its on-site inspections of Bigmotor under the insurance business law, the FSA found that the company had not established an appropriate insurance sales system, Suzuki told a press conference.
   The FSA investigated the rampant malicious acts at Bigmotor of deliberately damaging customers' vehicles to pad insurance claims as well as the company's poor governance system.
   Given that nonlife insurers have decided to cancel their agency contracts with Bigmotor, Suzuki said that the used car dealer would unlikely be able to receive support from them in rebuilding its business.
