４月から公務員定年引き上げ　国・地方、人手不足に対応

　現在６０歳となっている国家公務員と地方公務員の定年が、４月１日から６１歳に引き上げられる。その後も２年ごとに１歳ずつ引き上げ、２０３１年度に定年を６５歳とする。シニア層の職員が持つ知識や経験を生かすとともに、少子高齢化が進む中、深刻化する人手不足に対応する狙い。民間企業でも同様の動きが広がるか注目される。
　年金支給開始年齢が６５歳に引き上げられる中、６０歳で定年退職すると無収入の期間が発生する。現在この期間は再雇用制度で対応しているが、政府は定年延長によりシニア層の職員の働く意欲を維持しつつ、経験を生かし若手のサポートなどに当たってもらう考えだ。厚生労働省によると、６５歳以上への定年引き上げを実施している民間企業は２２年６月時点で２５．５％。
　２１年に成立した改正国家公務員法は、定年を２３年度から段階的に引き上げることや、６０歳に達した職員は原則として管理職から外す「役職定年制」の導入を盛り込んだ。給与は当面の間、６０歳時点の７割水準とする。地方公務員も同様の対応を講じる。
　定年が２年ごとに１歳ずつ延長されると、定年退職者がいない年が生じるが、従来のような退職者を補充する形の採用では、若い人材を安定的に確保できなくなる恐れがある。このため政府は定年の引き上げ期間中も継続して一定数を採用する特例的な措置を検討。地方公務員についても、総務省が自治体に対し、複数年度で採用者数を平準化するなどの対応を求めている。（2023/03/25-23:09）

Japan to Raise Retirement Age of Civil Servants April 1

The retirement age of national and local civil servants in Japan will be raised to 61 at the start of April from the current 60 as part of measures to address labor shortages partly reflecting the country's declining population.
   The retirement age will be then raised by one year every two years until it reaches 65 in fiscal 2031.
   Attention is being paid to whether private-sector companies will take similar moves.
   As the public pension age is raised to 65, those retiring at age 60 will have a period of no income. A re-employment system is currently used to deal with the situation.
   Through the hikes in the retirement age, the Japanese government wants senior workers to support young employees by using their experiences.
