装備品協定、交渉入りで合意　日シンガポール首脳、安保協力強化

　【シンガポール時事】シンガポール訪問中の岸田文雄首相は１１日、同国のリー・シェンロン首相と会談した。日本の防衛装備品輸出を可能にする「防衛装備品・技術移転協定」の締結に向けた交渉入りで合意し、安全保障協力を具体化させることで一致した。インド太平洋地域で軍事面でも影響力を強める中国をにらみ、連携強化を図る。
　日本は同様の協定を東南アジア諸国連合（ＡＳＥＡＮ）の５カ国と締結済み。岸田首相は会談後の共同記者発表で、「『自由で開かれたインド太平洋』の新たな展開に向け、シンガポールを含む同志国と協力を強化する」と表明した。
　両首脳は会談で、「法の支配」に基づく国際秩序を維持するため共同歩調を取ることを確認。経済安保について意見交換し、サプライチェーン（供給網）の強靱（きょうじん）化に向けた協力拡大を申し合わせた。デジタル分野では、専門家会合を早期に開催することで合意した。
　ロシアのウクライナ侵攻をめぐっても協議し、いかなる地域でも「力による一方的な現状変更」は断じて許容できないとの立場で一致した。シンガポールはＡＳＥＡＮ加盟国で唯一、対ロ制裁に加わっている。リー首相は共同記者発表で「国際法は守らなければならないと強く信じている。だからこそ制裁を科している」と強調した。（2022/06/11-17:20）

Visiting Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his Singaporean counterpart, Lee Hsien Loong, agreed on Saturday that their countries will start negotiations to conclude a defense equipment and technology transfer agreement.
   Japan has already struck similar deals that allow the country to export defense equipment with five member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. By signing such a deal with Singapore as well, Tokyo aims to strengthen its ties with the region against the backdrop of China's growing maritime activities.
   "We'll further embody security cooperation in light of the current tough security environment," Kishida told a joint news conference with Lee after their meeting in Singapore.
   The Japanese and Singaporean prime ministers exchanged views on economic security and confirmed that their countries will expand cooperation to strengthen supply chains. They also agreed to hold a meeting of digital experts at an early date.
   Among other issues discussed was Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The leaders shared the view that any unilateral attempt to change the status quo by force can never be tolerated.
