Ｇ２０議長会議、日本初開催＝韓国も参加

　２０カ国・地域（Ｇ２０）の国会議長らによる会議が４日、参院議員会館で開かれた。公正な貿易や投資の促進などの取り組みを議論し、保護主義的な措置の自制を盛り込んだ共同声明を採択し、閉幕した。日本での開催は初めて。
　山東昭子参院議長は開会式で「Ｇ２０諸国の議会人が知見を共有し、国民の目線に根差した政策を共に見いだすべく議論を尽くすことが会議の大きな役割だ」と強調した。
　慰安婦問題をめぐり今年２月、天皇陛下の謝罪を求めた韓国の文喜相国会議長も出席。山東氏は発言の撤回と謝罪を求めたが、納得できる回答がないとして個別会談を見送った。会議での接触もなかった。（2019/11/04-20:04）

Parliamentary speakers of the Group of 20 major advanced and emerging economies have held a meeting in Japan for the first time.
   In the meeting held at the office building of the House of Councillors, the upper chamber of the Diet, Japan's parliament, in Tokyo on Monday, participants discussed mainly fair trade and investment promotion.
   Their meeting ended with a joint statement in which they called for exercising self-restraint in taking protectionist measures.
   At the opening ceremony of the meeting, Japanese Upper House President Akiko Santo said, "The significant role of the meeting (on Monday) is to hold thorough discussions so that parliamentary members of the G-20 nations can share their knowledge and find policies rooted in the mindset of the general public."
   Participants included South Korean National Assembly Speaker Moon Hee-sang, who demanded in February an apology from Japan's Emperor over the issue of Korean comfort women forced into prostitution for Japanese soldiers before and during World War II.
