長野県「アルクマ」が１位に＝台風被害に募金も－ゆるキャラ２０１９

　「ゆるキャラグランプリ２０１９」の人気投票結果が３日、長野市のエムウェーブで発表され、長野県ＰＲキャラクターの「アルクマ」が１０万６４１９票を獲得してご当地部門の１位となった。２位には大阪府泉佐野市の「一生犬鳴！イヌナキン！」（１０万６３５８票）、３位に熊本県の「ころう君」（９万５９０４票）が入った。
　今回は、全国からご当地部門４２６体、企業・その他部門３６３体のキャラクター計７８９体がエントリー。８月１日～１０月２５日のインターネット投票と、今月２、３両日のエムウェーブでの現地投票を集計した。現地投票の倍率は調整され、今回はネット投票の２倍でカウントされた。
　長野県のＰＲブースでは１０月の台風１９号の被災者への募金活動も実施。イベント会場には２日間で延べ１万７５３０人が訪れた。
　ステージに登壇した長野県の阿部守一知事は「みなさんに応援してもらいグランプリを取ることができた。地域の元気を出していくため、多くの方に来てもらいたい」と話した。
　企業・その他部門の１位は、バーチャルＹｏｕｔｕｂｅｒの「オシャレになりたい！ピーナッツくん」だった。
　表彰式では来年の開催地が発表され、岩手県に決まった。ゆるキャラグランプリ実行委員会の西秀一郎会長（５６）によると、同グランプリは来年が最後の開催になるという。（2019/11/03-18:47）

Nagano Prefecture's "Arukuma" bear mascot Sunday won the main division of this year's "yuru-kyara" grand prix contest to select the most popular local mascot in Japan.
   "We won thanks to your support," said Shuichi Abe, governor of the central Japan prefecture, hit hard by flooding from Typhoon Hagibis last month.
   "I hope many people will visit us to reinvigorate our region," he said on stage at the M-Wave arena in the city of Nagano, where voting results were announced.
   Arukuma won 106,419 votes, followed by the "Issho Kenmei! Inunakin!" dog mascot of Izumisano, Osaka Prefecture, with 106,358 votes and the "Korou Kun" castle-themed character of Kumamoto Prefecture with 95,904 votes.
   Votes were accepted between Aug. 1 and Oct. 25 online and between Saturday and Sunday at the arena. Ballots cast at the arena carried twice the weight.
